Hey Sean, just now seeing this sorry.. Thanks. I'm out in CO now, so I doubt you'll see my rig around anymore haha. Check out Razorback Land Cruisers if you have't already. That's the group I associated with, and I was with a few of them that day at 4WP. Great group of guys and put up a nice annual event called the Razorback Ramble. Check 'em out

Been a busy past couple of months! Only a couple more mods I'd like to get done before the year ends.

I got around to having the exterior completely washed, polished, and waxed. I don't have the patience for it and I was recommended a guy for a great price so I went for it. Got rid of A LOT of scratches and swirls. I haven't seen the paint shine as much as it does now, even when I bought it it wasn't this shiny.

Shortly after the detail we got smothered in snow and the truck got all dirty lol. Oh well, it was bound to happen. Wife and I decided to go get a Christmas tree. Obligatory pic in the snow with the tree of course :D

The past couple months I've been stocking up on parts to redo my front and rear suspension. I bought my coilovers used with unknown mileage, then put probably another 30k or so on them. I had them rebuilt over the weekend with all new bearings, seals, oil, and nitrogen charge. The oil was burnt black, the lower bearings were shot, and they needed a recharge. I also decided to go to a 14", 700# rate coil to help reduce sag from the additional armor weight up front. Also reduces the amount of preload. You can see the difference in front with the pictures above and the ones below.

Since I was redoing the front I wanted to go ahead and freshen up the rear. It was the original setup I've had since I lifted the rig back in 2009. It was due for a refresh. I bought a set of land cruiser OME 861's and got a good deal on some 4th gen Sway-a-Way 2.0 emulsion shocks. The shocks are a little longer than my previous and offer a slightly bit more travel. Since the coils are a lot taller as well I wont have to worry about losing coils anymore at full flex lol. I also added the Toytec 3" bumpstop extensions while I was already back there changing things up.

OME 861 on left, OME 891 on right

So what's left for the year? I plan on redoing all my brake lines with some custom length ones I've already purchased (pictured). I also plan on doing a limit strap setup for the rear with plans to go with a longer travel shock in the rear. For next year, I have some big plans but we'll see if they pan out.

Still waiting patiently for the diamond axle... I think I only have a couple weeks or less to go. In the mean time, here's a glamour (poser) shot before I got rid of the CBI rear bumper.

Some of you guys may have noticed but I took a job with a local offroad fabrication shop, . We currently have and array of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen Tacoma products, as well as some products for the 4th gen 4Runner and full list of products for 5th gen. We're gradually adding more products so if it's not on the website it doesn't mean we don't have it.

Look, I'm famous :D Recently went on a nice little day trip through a trail called Hackett Gulch. Probably the most challenging trail I've been to here. The pictures on TrailDamage don't do any justice to the slab obstacles. They are very washed out now. The trail ends at a nice river bed through a stunning gorge. A large part of the challenge for this trail is that it's an out and back trail. Meaning, leave the same way you came in. The downhill sections at the slabs were quite, for lack of better words, butt hole puckering. The new suspension worked out really well, and rides the trails smooth. I do however need some new front lower control arm bushings and apparently a new rack and pinion lol.

Do it!! They are a great group of guys and actually have a lot of members in the NW. They have a yearly event called the Razorback Ramble in Hot Springs at the Superlift Off-Road Park that usually has a great turnout.
