We just got back from Bigsur and have Mammoth in the Jeep Oct 7-9 so she may be out-doored out by them. LOL

Will do. I'm really hoping it's minor like something needs to be torqued back down, I checked what I could when we were at Big Bear and that didn't seem to be it. I've got a feeling it's a worn out control arm bushing or bad LBJ. Either way I'll let you know

When is this?

 

Clunking/popping/clicking sound coming from the wheels when I'm turning and going over bumpy terrain, occasionally on smooth ground. Not all the time but it's much more common when I'm off-roading. Also, seemingly unrelated but I can hear and feel a grinding sensation directly underneath me like something heavy shifts when I'm going over a speed bump or off-roading.

I did the lower ball joint test where you jack up the front of the truck and see if there's any side-to-side play in the wheels, both had a tiny amount which I've heard is normal (and it was the same on both sides). But I'm not convinced that's enough of a test to rule it out.

Hey guys, need some suspension advice, I'm realizing that my 2.5 icon coilovers are stiffer than I'd like them to be. Especially noticeable this weekend.. like jack hammers going 40mph on the trails. They are definitely several years old, will re-valving/rebuilding alone help with the stiffness? Mike and I are discussing the possibility of going with a 14" 650# spring to help soften the ride, without all the preload from the current 13" 650# spring it should reduce the harshness right? Thanks!!
