Gives you another place to sleep when you're in the dog house - no drool on her couch cushions :)

My rather minimalist build so far. Simple platform 3/4" plywood in two pieces, supported by 2x6 cross members notched into the recesses in the bedliner. The notches make the 2x6 flush with the lip running the perimeter of the liner providing continuous support along both sides. Versatility and ease of removal were the guiding principals here. The whole thing is four pieces. Indoor/outdoor carpeting applied with spray adhesive provides a finished look and a comfortable base for a foam mattress. I have about 7 1/2 inches of clear storage space below but I am considering removing the pad and making a rudimentary pullout tray for ease of access to the back of the truck.

I am doing the same thing the moment I pick up my truck. No bed pad underneath though.

Posted this in the 2nd Gen thread but figure I would share here as well! Figuring out a rail system without spending $$$$ on actual drawer slides is a pain, hoping this holds up! Nice thing is that the drawer is completely removable since the deck is a stand alone I welded together a couple years ago.

    I'll play...
Rigged for the Beach, with Way Too Much fishing stuff crammed in.
But at least it is reasonably organized, at least before I start dragging it all out to use...0918161554_HDR.jpg

Foam mattress (took my gf's old one, cut it to fit with an electric carving knife), shelf in the front to put bags on, in an ARE CX with slider windoors. Sleeps like a dream.
