I have the E2 Trunnion Hitch and noticed the brackets tend to move after towing. I double check these nuts each time before hitching to ensure they are tight. However, I'm still noticing some movement which makes me consider welding these brackets to the frame. Has anyone else had this problem and any good solutions? Below is a pic that shows how the brackets are no longer orthogonal to the frame.

    Some questions:
Have you removed the bolts to see if they are in good condition? Have the bolt holes in the frame become deformed due to wear? Does this happen on both sides of the trailer frame, or just one side?

I have not removed the bolts but can check their condition tonight. There are no bolt holes in the trailer frame, the bracket bolts go above and below the frame. And yes, I am noticing the bracket movement on both sides of the trailer frame.

I'll take more pics of the disassembly tonight. The bolts in the original pic are bolts from the inner bracket. The bolts that secure the bracket to the frame go above and below the frame which can't be seen in the pic. I'll post pics later to make it more clear.

I just bought a TT last weekend and it's using the same WD hitch. The previous owner has welded the brackets to the trailers frame.

Thanks Ruggybuggy, I think I'll do the same and make plans to get this welded.

Question, where did you buy that red jack foot? I have a wheel on mine that's got to go.

It's the equalizer flip jack and I got it from camping world. Install only required a 1/2" drill bit and works really well.

@Ruggybuggy, i'm thinking about replacing my manual trailer jack for an electric powered one. If I replace it I won't be able to keep my flip jack. Would you be interested in buying a used one?
