Yeah I know it's always been "265/70R17 fit on stock suspension" I rub like small amount right on the upper control arms. It looks to be hard left or hard right turns with a little suspension compression. I noticed it cause there's two little clean marks from them. I'll snag a picture in the morning when it's light out.
Now can be because I have sliders on which might weigh the truck down a little, but idk

image.jpg image.jpg The first picture is driver side. Second is passenger. You can just see the dust that got knocked off the control arms. Like I said it's super small amount of rubbing. But after I noticed it I've tried not to make hard turns over bumps and dips

very happy with these so far, definitely quiet like most say, but haven't been off road yet or put on significant miles. I'll update accordingly

I've only got a thousand miles on mine and so far, I think are by far one of the most underrated tires out there. I really like mine too :)

I drove from S. Cali to Washington this weekend with a heavy load in the bed and trailer and they performed great. I didn't hear any road noise like I did from my duratracks.

    Sub'd for Reviews off-road.

Seems road noise is non existent.

Had General grabber red labels that were great off-road but noisy as all hell.

Went with the duratracs afterwards and are holding strong. As they are aging, they are getting noisier. 5yrs old and they have worn great.

About 5/32nds of tread left... It's definatly about that time for a new set of shoes.

    The Goods:
So I ended up having these installed Saturday morning in the P285/70/17 flavor. I know it's been repeated here several times but the pictures really didn't do them justice IMO, especially with the more pronounced sidewall mounted outside. And the biggest reason as to why I got them, 2nd to appearance-duh, the quietness...THESE THINGS ARE SHOCKINGLY QUITE!

It's been so long since I've had a set of highway tires that I really can't compare but the wind noise was way louder than the tires, at least on the roads I drove this weekend (55mph highways to 80 mph Interstate). I can't imagine a tire being much more quite. I couldn't really hear them at all compared to my Toyo AT IIs (and they were pretty quite).

If you do concentrate and try to listen closely, its such a low-pitched, soft sound that it reminded me of low volume white noise or something. Honestly, i'm not even sure that was the tires, it's that quite to me. Granted, I've only got around 300 miles on them so far (long drive) but LOVE them! The only "negative" I could think of right now is the heavier weight. I'll upload some pics later.

SUMMARY (300 miles in so YMMV):
    +Quite!
    +Look great!
    +Relatively "cheap" ($732 w/ tax @ DT - $125 from TreadLightly = $607 OTD)
-/+Slightly more firm/planted feel than Toyo AT II (good to me)
-Slightly heavy for P-rated (this is a "new" rubber compound)
-Strong smell (already diminished on day 2)

    TBD:
    Longevity
    Off-road performance
Increased road noise as tread wears

Where are these tires made? I'm thinking about going up to 265 75's, currently have toyo at2's which I have been very happy with but was thinking about giving these a try if I go up in size.

Observation: I just received 265/75r16 T rated Falkan AT3w's and the first thing I noticed is how soft the rubber compound is. It feels just like my snow tires rubber compound. I immediately asked Moe2o4 who runs the same tire if he's noticing any premature tire wear. He stated that after 4k miles he's already down 3-4/32nds when they only come at 13-14/32nds new. If the wear continues at the same rate then he wouldn't make it to 20k miles.. I'm not the trying to be a debbie downer and I can't predict the future, but I don't know how these would ever approach the 55k mile tread warranty at those wear rates. Anyone else noticing this?

I'll try to measure mine tonight to see how they're doing. I'm around 1,000 miles on them right now

They are softer. I can feel it under the weight of the truck as well. I wouldn't expect a hard rubber compound in a tire that performs well in wet and cold conditions. Less than 20k though? That would suck. There is a guy on here this site that had that happen with his KO2's as well.
