    looks like this kit is way easy and cheap.
    this isnt a great pic but here's how i mounted the track bar to the axle seeing how as i wanted it kinda close to the pinion for add'd drive line protection


    It's basically what i did only i bought the parts from poly performance and put it all together my self. hence why my trac bar has the toyota symbol in it.

    they are bias and i hate them. traction wise they did good but past that i have liked nothing about them.. next tire will either be a Trep or a Irok in a 42. still need to test those out.

    Fwiw I've got 37" rocker radials and really like them. They hook and go in the rocks and the sidewalls are beef. They run decent down the road at 75 unbalanced too.

    The radial and bias ply profiles are completely different. The bias is a big ballooned tire and the radial is a taller squared off shoulder shape that works night and day better.

    I would not run anything Bias from Interco or Pitbull on a dual purpose rig. Some people say Maxxis bias tires behave well. I don't really know as I never tried them.

    Right now I'm leaning towards the ProComp 40/13.5/17. THere is a new 40 coming out from a company called Gladiator. Tire guy down the street says he can get them under $300/tire but it'll be a month or so before they're available. I don't know anything about them:

    Track bar is a must. My has help immensely since I have had it on.
    I used the one that Chassis Unlimited sells. Nice kit.

    Exactly the reason I'm swapping in an auto now.

    Damn straight. My 85 was cherry when I bought it. It has a lot of character now.

    There's always somebody that can get everything cheaper. That never happens to me :D

    As I mentioned in a different post, those Procomps are probably the best tire for a rig that sees a lot of highway miles. They are cheaper than most other 40" tires, and they come with a tire thread wear warranty. The thread is similar to the old coopers. Not the most hard core tire but for the price it's really a great deal.

    I almost bought a brand new set from 4WP but then found a used set of 40" Nitto Trail Grapplers on cragslist and got those instead....which is a great tire too BTW for a dual purpose rig. But brand new are quite expensive.

    But my next tire set that I buy new will be the Procomps.

    Yeah which is why I'll wait for that tire to drop in price. I'll run the irock next then possibly and after that run two or three sets of tires for different types of wheeling.

    Irok bias are great. Not sure I would run them on the highway for long, but many people actually run the Irok bias around here. It's a great performer.
