I'd say about 1/2" down on the collar and you should be fine.

Im going to get 700 lb springs at 14" to help with the bumper weight. Do you know any shops or places online to order them? They are 3.0 correct, and how difficult is it to change out Springs?

Yeah i know they are good, but i dont have another vehicle for transport. Plus i have to remove my shocks and take them over there and then have it done and then go back and get them etc.

I could recommend you @Speed Freek. He's in Vista.

Not sure if @TC yota does shock stuff when it's mounted on the truck though.

Also any off road shop will switch out coils for you.

When my brother had his truck as a daily he kept his stock front coilovers so we could rebuild then in the garage.

King I think has a video still up on their website if you ever want to teach yourself.

Ive been looking for a video on how to switch them out but I cant find one. So any shop will switch out coils but how much would it cost you think? If its some stupid amouny id rather struggle doing it myself.

Let out all air. Loosen top hat with spanner wrench that is for kings. Pull the bottom collar off the lower section of shock. Spring comes out the bottom. Install new spring in reverse. You may need a spring compressor if your shock is pretty short.

Ever get crazy here how to rebuild it.

I couldn't tell you prices you would need to make some calls. I taught myself off YouTube and rebuild my own shocks in the garage. Pretty much all performance shocks are the same.

Thanks! Yeah those longer coils need a compressor or two to do it..

Im running 35s and i actually just bought 700lb springs and going to install them hopefully tomorrow. That should help because of the bumper weight on the front end.

I actually just bought 700lb springs from DSM last week and all i need to do is install them. That should help with the weight of the bumper. When could you do the install? I can do it at the DIY shop on base but if you can do it quicker thatd be nice. Im not sure if they have a spring compressor and if they do is it any good.

Thanks fellas for the help @digitaLbraVo @sladesdaddy1022 @MadTaco461 @goblue82 @jakebray @snowboard704 @DTFtacoma . I ended up buying some 14", 700lb coilover springs from DSM and just installed them myself today for $40. I took over half of the preload off and it feels much better and sits about a half inch higher, no "bro lean". I appreciate the input and helping me get to where I wanted it. Anybody got suggestions on what PSI to have my tires at? Im running 315/75/16 Nitto Terra grapplers and i do alot of traveling up north mostly highway. Im trying to get the best mpg possible. I can always adjust PSI when I use 4x4 when i go hunting, off roading etc.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Nice man! Glad you got the springs figured out.

The best tire pressure for wear is going to be a chalk test, you can do some Google work on how to properly apply it. That'll get you even wear no matter the tire/vehicle/what have you. It's good to chalk test because Toyota is going to give you numbers on a factory truck, your truck is clearly not factory!

The best tire pressure for mpg is going to be as high as your ass can take. A load range E tire at 40-50psi is gonna ride like hell on some big bumps but you'll definitely see a tick or two up the chain.

Your choice man, but glad you got it figured out.

Hey man is it normal for your drivers side suspension to sit lower than the passenger side? After i put on the new coil over Springs I noticed that the driver's side is sitting about 1/2 inch lower than the passenger side after driving it for a couple days. I know that the gas tank is on the driver side and that probably is part of it but is that common in Tacomas? The preload on both sides is the same for both coilovers.....

Yeah it is. Lovingly referred to as "taco lean" it is a symptom of the: gas tank, driver, and battery, all being on the same side of the truck. Some guys put in a small 1/4" spacer on the driver side front to compensate, others just don't preload the passenger side enough to match them so they sit equally low.
