I'm just worried the bronze will be too gaudy in person on this blue.

And i literally have nothing else to complement it.

If i had tan interior, i'd already have bronze konigs on the truck.

Haha sounds like you're thinking this through much more than I did.

My process was, I like those Matte Bronze ones, that'll look good on my truck. Done. haha

Truck is officially going up for sale in October. I have a member possibly in line but if they've changed their minds anyone else is welcome to start the bidding ;)

I will when I get home at the end of October. I'd hate to have a buyer and then tell them to wait a month ha.

Thinking some skids, second battery and RTT might just get me to S. America and back :D getting that itch. If my other project didn't come through by next winter I may head south with this rig.

    Anyone been?

Thinking this list by winter would be overkill/more than enough.

    Skids
    Rear LSD (Detroit TrueTrac)
    Air Compressor
    RTT + rack for it
    Solar/Battery
    Rear bumper recovery points
    Inconspicuous wheels?
Beefier tires? Cooper Discoverer STT Pro?
    Hi-lift
Jerry Can or two + rack

    Lots...see build
    I had a feeling you wouldn't sell...

I've got a couple threads/blogs bookmarked of people doing the south America trip. I'll dig them up when I'm on my computer. It's a looooong way!

Just do a selectable locker (arb). So freaking nice, and you're doing the compressor anyways...

From what I've heard, you don't really need to go too overboard on beefing up your rig. My fiancée's aunt did the trip to Panama in a vw van back in the 70s I think...
There's the stretch from I think Panama to Colombia that is supposed to be gnarly but I think it's muddy gnarly, and cartel gnarly, but maybe not something you would need skids for.

    Good luck!

I know people who have done it via motorcycle / bike / camper van, so I'm not too worried about being capable enough. I'm more interested in town/people than being the cool guy who broke something trying to push it ha.

This is just me musing because I'm getting the itch to travel and work on my Spanish again.

Might do SE Asia in April and see if it gets out of the system for a bit.

Still have a few pending offers :) I'll get back to you types ha.

I'm also thinking Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and back up. Not to the southern most part of Argentina for me.
