Anyone have tips on how to remove the maps lights? My fingers slip off each time I try...

 

I used a hooked dental tool to pull them from the back. You can also use a rubber sleeve/or tape to give your fingers more traction.

For those that have replaced interior lights with LEDS, is blowing a fuse a common problem? I have been wanting to do this but if this is an issue I will have to reconsider.

 

I used a doubled up napkin between a set of needle nose... Lol

 

I know there was a write up somewhere on here, maybe under the buy/sell section by the jumper LED lights guy (no offense to him, just can't verify his name right now). If I find it I'll tag it on here.

 

Did an oil change for free and got to use the lift which was real nice, I know have enough oil to do this about 5 more times

 

Installed my Dakars and got my lift height back after Toyota put their crappy recall leaf springs on.
Here's some before and after pictures.
The first two are after on left and before on the right with 285s. The last is before on left and after on right, 265s vs 285s.

These were all taken just sitting in my driveway. No flexing or anything.

Anyone running kmc enduro pros xd126 16x8 4.5bs on a 2nd gen?
Planning on getting them and is wondering if I should test fit in first before going to the shop and having the wheels and tires installed.

 

Not very common but it happens. The first time I had no issues, but then one of the map lights started to flicker and I had to replace it. Somewhere in the replacement process I shorted the connection and blew the fuse. It's under the hood, so an easy fix.

 

Are these stock shocks?
Also, really like those rims. What kind are they?

I would say to just be careful during the replacement process to not touch the bulb to anything but the contacts

Thanks. But I'm surprised there was flickering with one. With traditional bulbs that's indicative it's going to burnout. I would think LEDs would outlive your vehicle based on the small amount of use versus traditional lights at say your house. Hopefully this incident was a bad "bulb".

 

Everybody is talking about how to install LED bulbs without blowing the Courtesy Lamp Fuse... The best answer on how not to blow the fuse is to just pull the fuse until you're done changing out the bulbs then put the fuse back in.

 

I'm gonna be putting some LEDs in soon myself, was thinking the same thing haha. Disconnect the battery and pull the fuse. You can't blow the fuse if there's no current!

 

blew mine with my first attempt...lol. So just in case, have some new fuses ready in hand.
