I assume you did this to help cut down on the glare? I have been seriously contemplating doing the same thing cause the white hood is bad sometimes. Did it help?

    It looks really good too.

Exactly, and the lightbar on the rack was an absolute nightmare to use before I had the hood decal on. Night and day difference, I highly recommend it, even for just wheeling, when going into the sun the glare was horrible. Have not had 1 complaint about glare since putting it on!

Did you do it yourself? I have a 48" vinyl cutter but I'm not real good at laying big sheets down without bubbles.

I got it from amasing decals, but did the install myself. If I could do it over again, I would have a professional shop install it. I could not get all the bubbles or derbies out from under it. Dirty you cant see them but clean, it dont look so purdy. I have since had the guy send me another decal with the intention of taking it to a decal shop to have them lay a new one down. But haven't had a chance to do it yet. I was unable to get it to center or remove all bubbles, I would highly suggest you have someone with experience put it on. Its a beg sheet, nothing like putting on small window decals

Actually, I did it because of this. I got "egged" one weekend while I was away for the weekend and the egg ruined the paint. I painted the fender myself, but thought I'd give the carbon fiber look a try. It wasn't easy, as it was my first attempt, but it came out nice.2015-07-26 14.11.36.jpg 2015-07-26 14.30.18.jpg 2015-07-26 14.30.28.jpg 2015-07-26 15.11.51.jpg 2015-07-26 15.20.58.jpg 2015-07-26 15.21.13.jpg 2015-07-30 11.15.53.jpg

Did you install it wet or dry? I would mix up the dawn dish water solution and spray the hood down, then spray the adhesive side of the decal. You can move it around a little and then squeegee the water out.

Looks good, where did you get the wrap from? Is There a significant difference with glare?
