And the next day the paint is there still because half way through the 12 pack a decision was made that it can wait and the problems keep piling up.

Tried them, didn't do much. I think that paint on the wheels is stuck in the matte finish

Tried bug and tar remover on the tires and it worked but it took me a while just to get one little dot of paint.

You might as well go with the theme and add black speckles to the truck with red speckles spelling out "TRD".

Get your wife/girlfriend to do her nails to match, and you'll be good to go.

Of course if it was me, I'd probably go a different route with the paint on the truck and the girl...

If the paint is a latex based paint, I'm not sure anything will dissolve it after it is dry. If you got lucky and it's an oil based paint, you might try paint thinner. Get the kind that evaporates very quickly as it tend to dissolve paint better than some lacquer thinners which are oilier and not as effective as a solvent.

3M Adhesive Remover. This stuff is the only stuff I've ever found to get crap off. It's amazing. I even had an ex who spray painted his truck years before I met him, I was sick of the overspray, so I used that stuff to clean up the edges and it took the years old spray paint right off even over the original clear coat.

sounds like the paint bonded into the matte finish. If non of the cleaners suggested remove it, I think you'll have to wet sand it off. :boom:

Stay away from "Lacquer Thinner" and "acetone" try something mild like "Mineral Spirits" or "turpentine". Start in a small spot somewhere it does not show and see what come off. i.e., the offending paint or the paint you want to keep.

If you can't get the paint off the rims plasti dip will make them look new again. Take the steps off and spray with bed liner.

Times like these is when tacoworld needs a gofundme for users.. If we all tossed him a few bucks he could get it fixed/replaced without worry or effort.

I have those same wheels and love them so much. Hope you feel better soon bud

Yeah, my thought was that you'd quickly recover the cost. Savings only matter if you actually save them, though.
