Updated pricing for individual orders (Group buy ended >1 year ago)

Pricing includes a garage door opener compatible with anything that the Genie G3T-R or Chamberlain 953ev is compatible with. If you have a different garage door opener preference, PM me and I'll get its pricing figured out. Should be close unless you need a super-special opener that really breaks the bank. Or if you want 3 switches, and your openers are only available in 1-button or 2-button models, for example.

These are intended for use in the 3rd gen cubby to the left of the steering wheel.

    1-switch, no faceplate, $120 shipped
No faceplate, intended to mount in the location where the clutch-start-cancel switch would go (LED light bar switch location above) or into a blank spot on a faceplate you already have.

    2-switch, no faceplate, $145 shipped
Same as 1-switch no faceplate, except with 2 installed switches.

Video of operation: (Installation is a GREEN switch, not blue, single-switch, no-faceplate. Operation is typical of all installation types).

Photo of 2-switch/3-hole, with additional switch blank (not included), from @dilbert.

    Installation instructions

There may be options for further customization on a case-by-case basis. Upgrades such as never needing to change the battery, for example, might be possible.

These can easily be installed as functioning full time, or only with accessory power, as you deem fit.

To purchase these, please PM me the following, at a minimum, for accurate pricing:
    1. Option from above (# of switches and faceplate, if necessary)
    2. Brand/Model of your current garage door opener (Actual motor/opener, and if possible your current remote model)
    3. Any customization option requests.

I will make an effort to ship all openers to within 2-3 weeks from payment received.

    Still have 11 left.
1 garage door opener sold during the initial offering.

All parts in stock except your choice of opener brand. And that is only a few days out.

So I'm reopening the group buy.

I'll close it next Friday, or whenever I run out od switches.

What size are these? Will they fit in Gen 2 button locations?

21x39mm switches. I'm not familiar with 2nd gens to be able to say where they will and will not fit.

Shouldn't be any extra. Most craftsman openers use the chamberlain 953ev opener.

That being said, I've tried to make these available as one-offs for the group buy price, and it just isn't working out price-wise to make them individually like it would as a group buy (shipping costs on components, increase in shipping costs to me, etc). So, prices for individual orders are as follows:

    1-switch, no faceplate, $120 shipped

    1-switch plus faceplate, $155 shipped

    2-switch plus faceplate, $180 shipped

    3-switch plus faceplate, $205 shipped

Thanks for the response, new price is too steep for me though. I understand your rationale, I just can't justify paying that much.

Fixed costs for fuse-taps, fuses, t-taps, the opener, etc don't go up with an additional switch.
And, it's only a minimal amount of extra labor to add in a second switch from the first, also.
So, the biggest cost component to adding a second switch is the switch itself (total cost ~ $25 each).

Order 4 or more at a time (or find another 3 other people to all order at the same time as you), and I'll give you the group buy rate.
I totally understand that the individual buy prices are steep and people probably won't be ordering them at those rates.

The group buy prices, IMO, were pretty steep to begin with - I was making less than $10 per order at that price. But a lot of people said they were interested at those prices, so I bought a bunch of components... and got burned.

I would be in for one if they fit 2nd gen. 1 or 2 switches preferably through accessory power. Chamberlin.

Same here for a 2nd Gen for a chamberlain Access Master. 1 or 2. And is this pretty much a plug and play setup? The buttons look awesome.

Installation instructions are linked to in the original post. Nothing too difficult.

However, I don't know anything about the 2nd gen, so I can't guarantee you could use the switch in any particular spot, or that any wiring harness I made would be the right length.

What makes these better than the in-mirror Gentex version?

They seem to have a lot more involved installation and higher price.
