power loss

    I have been having trouble with my 06 v6 5speed auto 264k miles bogging down when hitting the gas for about a month now and am at a loss as to what to do next. Im not getting any codes right now. Everything pointed to the converters being clogged so I installed jba headers and replaced the rear cats with flowmaster cats and it seemed to help a little but still does it bad when the outside temp reaches around 80°. I had to travel to SW Florida last weekend from SC and it seem to be fine on the highway at high speeds but any time I slowed to under 70mph it would bog when getting on the gas. Before I left, I was sure it had to do with the trany getting hot so I moved the trans cooler up for more air flow. When I got back 2 days ago, I changed the trans fluid and while it seems to have gotten a little better, just like with the cats, it is still bogging only when hitting the gas.
    It doesn't stall at stops, it doesn't sputter at stops, it sits at norm rpm at stops, and in the cooler morning I can run the piss out of it and it runs fine. It only has issues when the day starts to warm up. I have also checked the fuel pressure, it was at 100psi and compression on all cylinders were at 200psi +/-. I think it has something to do with the trans but I'm at a total loss as what to do next to figure this shit out. If anyone can provide some useful input I would be very grateful.

    Just a bunch of old crap
    Fuel injectors clogged? Try running a quality injector cleaner and carbon reducer like
    $25 BG44K BG 44K Fuel System Cleaner Power Enhancer 11oz.
    BG44K (Amazon) or something to get rid of deposits. I had that issue with my '06 and ran a can of BG through a tank and it's like a while new truck. It's a $22 fix, good preventative maintenance, and could solve your issue if it's this simple.

    what engine oil are you running? I know its a silly question, but I put the wrong oil in and I got similar issues when it got hotter.

    I don't remember the weight, probably 10w30 as that's what I normally use evey change but I run full synthetic and just hit the 5k mark on this oil.

    You should be running 5w-30 not 10w-30. It seems like not much difference but when you get down do the little specs and such it is a huge difference
