Installed mine a couple days ago. The front gave me problems. I had to tap the two front holes on each side of the cab because there was extra metal covering the hole making it hard to thread the bolt in. Other than that it was easier than I thought. Very happy with the product...

Anyone else have the same problem as me with the middle mounting point bolts (to mount rack to truck) on the cabrack? (2016)
They were way too long so I stacked about 5 washers on top...
Doesn't look good, so when I remove the whole rack to remount the weather stripping I'm getting shorter ones.

I'm thinking about picking up a prinsu for my snug top. Anyone know where I can order the snug top tracks for a rebel camper? or is there a better option?

Hmm that's weird mine was on point...

Thanks! You should definitely do it...

My Snugtop came with Yakima tracks installed. You can try and go that route...

I don't believe any of the manufactures actually build their tracks, but use either Yakima or Thule depending on what you order with your topper. But easy fix, Amazon/eBay Yakima 60" tracks. Scott will send you Yakima nuts that slide in the tracks.

If your wondering why 60" inch tracks it's because they are the ones made for shells and sold cheaper because the shorter ones are sold with plus nuts which adds cost. You do not need the plus nuts, they are meant for sheet metal roofs. Cut about a foot off and should put you at one of the pre drilled holes and perfect size for the topper.

Was that because you were supplied 2 shorter mounting bolts?
Or the threads for those points were as deep as the front and back mounting points?
    Thanks!

The bolts were all the same length M6x100. Hmm wondering why u had issues. Only issues I had was the front two holes on both sides not threading right since there was some metal in the way of the hole so I tapped those with a M6 tap and all was good.

Man... Is it a quality control issue on Toyotas part?
I'm experiencing a few issues :frusty:

Odd thing if thats the case why both sides, centre hole, same length..... doesn't add up to quality control..
    Both sides on yours too?
    Weird..

I bought a section of that to snap onto a front rail to try to minimize wind noise. It snaps right on just like lego.

I was in the same boat as you. All told, it took 8 weeks. Was originally told 4 weeks, but the wait was worth it haha

Scott. I sent you some PM's back in Sept. about some replacement hardware for my access cab rack that I lost. I know that I'm way down on the totem pole as far as priorities but I can't mount my roof rack until I get my replacements that I totally expect to pay for. I'm also looking forward to another group buy for cap racks for my Leer. If that comes up again. Thankyou.
