it'll all work out we'll find a good time and place it sounds like a place is already fairly chosen. chief seemed to really like it he said it was just what he was looking for so we'll see. he's a nice guy and i got the feeling he'd really like to be involved with doing the work and learn. i will say he had the tiniest kayak i've ever seen idk how you keep it afloat

The best way to learn is jumping in and getting dirty with folks that have done it before. That's cool that ya'll got to meet up and he could get a good feel for what he was considering lift wise. I'm hoping to move away from my block and spacer lift/level after the first of the year but we'll see how that goes. Tiny kayak huh??

he has a dcsb and honest to god it didn't look a whole lot longer than the bed idk how it floats he must be a good kayaker. i put the 3" rough country spacer lift on mine back in early march. it did ok and let me put the wheels and tires i wanted at the time on it. i have been educated since then about how the suspensions should work so revamped the whole deal. even new wheels and tires. i didn't go overboard with the real exspensive stuff but am totally pleased with the end result. none of it is cheap but a good trial will be seeing what chief ends up with how much it costs and how you like it at least would help you develope a plan

He doesn't let a fat man try to "float " in it that's how it stays afloat

He likes the fast water. Small is maneuverable. Most are rated for about 250lbs.

I'm sure I'll get some good ideas once we have a meet and I see what everyone else is running. I knew when I put the low range off-road 3/1 on it wasn't going to be permanent by any stretch, I only went up one tire size and that was before I put the kit on. I'm putting spidertrax spacers on Saturday morning just to push the stock wheels out a bit, might have to get some new wheels and 285's later on as well. I tend to change things on my trucks quite a big but the boss is being tight on this one.

i'd have to tie another 1 to either side to get it to float or i'd be upside down it'd be like a kayak with training boats

Yup, that's usually how it goes. See someone's setup and get new ideas or ones you hadn't considered.

@Casper66 Thank you again for the test drive. I will talk to headstrong Mon.
The red one is mine the others are my brothers, red is 9 ft long.
I'll also throw it out there, I like the sound of a meet up at the winery off rte. 3 picnic style.
