On Monday I put my tuna sandwich in there so it's ready for Saturday when I go off roading. Most people just keep their weed in it.

I cant remember if it was second gen tacomas, but i saw some vehicle with a glove box that looked like it had an opening for add on usb or 12v sockets (with plastic covers covering the holes). can anyone confirm this if this is a tacoma thing? I was curious how hard it would be to install a 12v socket in the glove box (not a tacoma owner yet tho). i like to charge few things in there out of sight.

My dad's got one of those 12v blanks in his 4th gen 4Runner. Not sure about the 2nd gen Taco though...

#22, Thanks you! The auto setting seems so slow, but I honestly didn't think it could be adjusted

Argh! I can't find this info!

My dealer will change the lane change signal from 3 to 6 flashes. We have all looked at TechStream for a bit now. Where is that hidden???

Didn't see this mentioned, but you can connect 2 Bluetooth capable devices to our new truck. I have my phone and then an old iPhone4 that functions as an iPod touch. I connect my phone first, and then turn on the Bluetooth on my iPhone, go to the apps menu and hit setup then Bluetooth. It shows the list of all devices the truck has paired with and then I select the media button on the far right next to the entry for my iPhone. A message pops up telling me my phone is currently connected as a media player and asks if I would like to disconnect it. I confirm, it links to the iPhone, and the track I was listening to starts playing again (at least with entertainment system on Bluetooth audio setting).

it might be more now, but bluetooth has always as long as ive known been able to support 8 devices, including the "host device." thats why PS3 could support 7 controllers, it used standard bluetooth and they didn't limit the controllers (I think they do now on ps4).

by chance do you know what bluetooth version (x.0) it is? curious to know in regards to how the audio quality over bluetooth would be of if its still worth just connecting with an aux or USB.

Hi. I'm new to this forum. And had recently bought a 2016 TACOMA SR5 FULL CAB LONG BED. I have been crazy on trying to get what would be a perfect size of rims and tires i should purchase for my truck without having it lifted and not rubbing on to anything. I am hoping to have the wheels pop out the body by about 1"-2". Please help me out figuring whatni like for my upcoming bday. Thank you in advance. Please include the rim size and specs and tirestoo pls..

Ok, I have read this thread 5 times. Why don't text messages from my iPhone show up on the screen? I went in the phone, bluetooth, settings, show notifications and still get "incoming text" only the "ignore" button is highlighted and the text message never comes on the screen.

What am I doing wrong here?

My dealer will do it for free, but it's not a function they use often and cannot locate it in TechStream...

Recycle and defrost do work together. If your's isn't working you may want to get it checked. Are you running defrost only or defrost+floor at the same time? The second one is the one that works with defrost.

The trick that I used to get it to read/display text messages is to connect the phone to the truck when it turns on normally, and then turn off Bluetooth on your phone and wait about 10 to 15 seconds, turn the Bluetooth back on(on the phone) and let the phone connect to the truck again. Mine always works when I do that. I don't know what it does but it works for me.
