    Scratches, dents, lots of squeaks.
Bought a 14 6mt taco about 3 weeks ago. Have noticed that if I don't hit 3rd just right it clucks a bit. No grinding. In general this manual seems to be loud imo. I haven't had a manual in about 3 yrs but it just seems loud. I dunno, maybe its me. Truck has 33k on it. Any one else see/hear any of this?

3rd in my manual does what you're describing and it's been somewhat consistent since I drove it off the lot two years ago brand new. I'm not worried about it.

No clunking or excessive noise here. (Just over 50K miles on my 2013 Access Cab 4x4 V6 6MT, TRD OR.)

My 6MT can be finicky about how it's shifted. I can't describe how I do it other than when I don't get the revs matched perfect it'll clunk and buck in 2nd and 3rd. When I shift it perfect, it shifts so smooth a passenger can't even tell the truck is a manual.

Change the oil in the transmission to Redline MT90 and it will smooth out and quiet down a decent amount.

Mine can be clunky in any gear if I really screw up the shift (like if I don't rev match at all). Otherwise it is perfectly smooth and normal. It can really take some getting used to this transmission if you are used to a car manual trans lol.

That's a good point, this is my first manual truck.

Third gear is a little clunky on mine too. As others have mentioned, it is shift technique. Nature of the beast, I guess.
