    I do a little hauling for Uship when I have days off. For a Tacoma, on an open transport (flatbed or wedge trailer), You're looking at about a dollar a mile.

    I had several quotes 900.00 to 1200.00 to ship my truck here to San Diego. One quote was only 750.00.

    This was picking up within a week of intended date, dropping off within 2-3 days of intended date; near a major interstate.

    Those are pretty low prices for that kind of haul. I've never made less than $0.80 per mile for hauling a truck. No idea how they are doing it for that price. It rounds out to about $0.25 a mile just for gas/food.

    Bit by bit we had family members move to SC from San Diego area. All shiped one car- none were more than 1,000.00.

    Cars are cheaper than trucks. You can fit more on a trailer, and give discounts for hauling multiples. Probably how they are doing it so cheap.

    I've never hauled a car/truck more than 400 miles. I guess long hauls pay less per mile than shorter hauls. Good to know.

    I feel about the same way. I want to go! But I as of now I only have a 3" lift. No locker, not bumpers. I will soon have skids and sliders after that.
