17's are actually a better wheel size these days. I went 16's on my first methods and moved to 17's later. Companies are making less and less tires in 16". And if you don't want e load rated tires you'll definetly want 17's. 16's are the new 15 and 17's are the new 16

I just bought new E load tires last week... I'll be sticking with the 16s for a while... unless I decide to sell them in a few months cuz I want 17s

Just curious, why are 17's better nowa days? Personally for just the looks part I like more tire then wheel. But curious on the function part as well?

Better tires offered for 17's as less vehicles are produced with wheels smaller than 17's less tires are offered in 16" wheel sizes. You'll have far more options in 17's their are other benefits, but 16's can have their benefits as well. But tire availability both size and availability wise is the biggest benefit. Their are numerous threads covering the topic on TW

Definetly a good size. If you already have them no need to swap. I just try to let guys that don't have wheels yet, know the benefits of 17's. I was hoping those were gonna be NV's I need four more wheels (two for the trailer and two for spares) and methods dealer pricing is ok, but not near as good as pro comp or the cheaper brands

:fistbump: Good luck on your wheel hunt. I just came across those on my daily CL search and noticed that to be a good deal for near new methods, one of my favorite brands besides SCS.

You're right, the choices for 16's are getting slimmer each year. I was just chatting with someone about tires and looked up Nitto TG2's since we were looking at load rating and I noticed that they don't have 16" sizes.

I have a set of new Tundra 6112's, minus the coils. Never installed. Thinking $450obo if anyone knows someone with a Tundra.
