The 11th picture shows what S/T Maxx tires and dual internal beadlock wheels can do. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I use these tires off-road and I love them. Not one slip that whole weekend and never had to engage the lockers even though others on the trail with us had to on multiple occasions.

Have these tires on my Tacoma and my LandCruiser and soon, on my trailer as well.

On my third rotate and balance (15,000 miles) and still in love. Very even wear, no pulling left or right and balances great.

Sometimes they pull, sometimes they don't. But i have about 1200 miles on them so far and they are already the best performing tire i have had. They are even quieter than i expected them to be (unless you corner them hard on black top, then they really howl). They are holding a balance nicely and i'm going to go ahead and rotate them when i pull them to wax the wheels in the next week or two.

Wish i had found this thread before i bought them, i'd have not fucked around as much and just pulled the trigger

I just turned 5 k on mine, and found that they initially would sort of tend to track right or left a bit and required some diligent steering input at times depending on the surface, but that is gone now, I think mainly because the rather angular edges of the side lugs have worn down a bit. Balance is still fine.

I'm used to it now, it only really bothered me when i was on a 200 mile road trip the other week. If I wanted to mess with the GPS(which I should have pulled over to do anyway), I would fins myself drifting to the right and having to hold the wheel firmly. It felt like it needed constant input.

Some guys are saying adjusting the alignment fixes it, but if it will fix itself with time and wear, i'll go that route. It'll be fine.

The alignment on mine is fine. Goes straight down the road. They were just a tad twitchy to start. I'd look at your alignment numbers and consider taking it to a different shop.

Oh yeah. I have to put in constant input to keep it in the lane.. But again.. I chalk that up to the nature of the beast and lifted trucks with oversized tires. I've never known anything different so it doesnt bother me.

Lol. Guess it could be that too.

I'm just saying.. When modifying a vehicle.. And changing the tires.. You gotta expect there to be these little quirks.

I agree.... anything other than absolutely stock and it doesn't drive like it used to!!! Other than an older truck with new suspension!!! I put all new everything in this when I did the 4" and it was the best 87 I've ever drove!!

My 285s drive great so far....
I put off going to 33s for fear they would drive too trucky....
But I think they drive fine, smoother than my AT3s... Much softer rubber... I just have to slow down for turns now....
I'm running 42 lbs of air now....
At the dunes I ran 27 on and off the dunes for a week and it drove fine... ( didn't waste time airing up and down.)

I bought mine local, so I would get a matching set in stock....
I went to discount tire for my FRS and they had to order from their inventory and had to mix and match a set.... I didn't like that.... But it drives fine...

You can actually request when you order tires from discount tire that they get you a matching set from all the same build

As far as cleaning I thought I would share what works for me. I don't like tire wet as it causes them to turn brown and for dust to stick on them. I use bleeche white by black magic (used to be another brand). It cleans the rubber back to normal. I spray the tire with it, brush it, hose it off and then do it again. The dust doesn't stick and the tire looks good. Not shiny but just dark black. It takes me less than 2 min per tire and they look great and you don't have to worry about rubbing against them and getting your clothes stained or something.
