Rofl, that was yesterday. Keyboard warrior over here. If you really want to go there I went to the dealer near me to have my TRD SC installed and was told I wouldnt get a warranty at all despite Toyota Policy because I didnt order it through them, even though I ordered from toyota of Dallas. And when I asked about the Magnuson at that dealer I was told they would not install or reflash it because it wasnt Toyota parts. So lets get down off of our high horses and move on, k?

First off, I don't need the attitude. I was very cordial in my statement and was just letting you know different dealerhips have different policies. Especially when the dealership is privately owned.

Secondly, I have no issue moving on. You are the only one coming off rude here. I just said that we should all be cool about it, just because your dealership doesnt do something, doesnt mean his wont and vice versa.

Not taking sides here, just playing devils advocate.

    im not sayin that............
I just pointed out why I ditched it.
    Totally up to you.

MANY on XRU have been running the afe with the blower for years.....not as many with the URD and blower combo.

Got it. I may change then, I'm more about airing on the side of caution. Plus it sounds like the TCAI can be a pain to install.

Really? Because your opening statemnt was "If you really want to keep talking" which usualy means you are trying to one up on someone did not come off as 'cordial' by any means. Again, high horse, lets step down and stop 'playing devils advocate' for a bit? K?

it can be a PITA, but it is the best sounding intake for the 4.0 I have ever heard.

but it will NOT pull colder air than STOCK at approx 35mph...........stock draws ambient air at that speed, and you CANNOT beat that....so dont be fooled by all these scoops and front mounted crap being "cooler air"........maybe at a stop light, but while moving, they are ALL pulling ambient

As for AFE vs URD, I had the AFE Stage II Si CAI for the last year and it worked just fine with no codes, only switched to the URD because the AFE box took up to much room in the engine bay. Both will net you good gains when combined with forced induction

Good to know. I'm sitting on an airplane right now bout to take off so this gives me something to think about on the flight home. But I'm leaning towards going AFE - Thanks much for the feedback, Everyone!

I personally prefer the URD to the AFE but the AFE sounded better IMO. The AFE made the SC whine more pronounced and had a better intake sound. With the URD up front it quieted dowb a bit, but Im told its loud AF from the front of the truck. Also, Im not as scared to go through water anymore, since Itll have to splash up on the grill VS getting sucked up in the wheel well where the tires are already splashing water up anyways

Have fun with the trip and good luck with the installation. Please provide some feedback back. I believe I might get one for next year but on the side of the fence of Toyota refresh instead of bullydog

Okay, back home off of travel and just ordered the AFE stage 2. So I'll have both for the install next weekend, and a week to decide but the more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards the AFE. Will keep everyone posted on the install and BullyDog flash experience.

I've been curious about the engine customization products available for 2nd gen to see what companies are in the biz. I then go do some research on the company sites to see if and when stuff might be available for the 3rd gen. That's when I saw my buddy Volcom Tacoma on here:stirthepot:
Volcom Tacoma uses an avatar from Saturday night live. I have dealt with him before. He always ends up with:crapstorm:. Just wanted to let him know I was here.

The AFE stage II is the best air intake for the TRD supercharger. It sounds even better with the lid off
