It starts correctly now, thanks to the best dealer tech ever.
Hi all! I'm on my phone posting this, out driving around in the taco. Hard to read and write on these damn tiny things! Still prefer computer! Maybe I'll catch up more on the thread on home computer later. Although, gotta admit, pretty cool to log into TW while I'm the go!!! How's everyone doing?

Finally seeing signs or spring! Old man winter was holding on to our area with both hands. I honestly think I may have been suffering from SAD. My wife said I was getting kind of pissy.

The thread lives!. Been awhile. Busy summer with the harvest in full swing. We all will have a bumper crop of corn, potatoes, carrots and peas on this side of the country due to the light winter. Take care Y'all!.

Funny, was just wondering about this thread the other day.

You are right about being busy.

Our raised beds are amazing! Very little loss to rodents. Apparently they aren't smart enough to jump up and eat the vegetables.

Another wonderer about this thread checking in. It's tomato season in my garden, and tomato sandwiches are the very definition of summer.

On the Tacoma front, replacing the AC compressor (leak) and accumulator. I want ice cold air, dammit.

Yeah, I'll be watching this thread until I start my engine mods this winter. I've had bad warm starts for several years now and I'm pretty sure it is an injector issue. Already upgraded the battery/starter/wiring.

Tried for years to get Pops to make raised beds,,instead of in the lousy dirt we had. Much easier to deal with. Looks good Kirk,,fork in hand!.

Just a heads up,,if you see Yakima Wa corn on sale,,Don't believe the hype. Yakima grows chickens, hopps, and awesome apples, red and green. Not so much corn,,that is usually just independent farmers small patches that get sold there in Yakima at there Sat Farmers market downtown,,and it's not that great. look for white sweet,,that's what you want nowadays. The yellow strains have wandered greatly since I was a kid,,,most of it is used for animal food, horsefeed, dog food, Corn meal, fast food shacks, KFC on the cob(yikes, more animal food), some of those yellow cob splits in the prepackage go to Wal Mart and Safeway,,yep those. Look for the smallish kernel if you must,,and boil lightly for the best taste.

Now to deal with a pesky AC clutch defrost blah blah blah compressor bearing. Of Course, in the heat. New belts went on and I think the new took out the old after a couple. 233K road miles, quite a few rotations in it's engine life. It feels marginal. Don't wanna touch it,,blows extra cold air right now,,dammit.

Hope she is enjoying her truck. A hell of a task getting it fixed,, one for the books. May be back in Illinois now and moving herself forward. Sweltering and dry in the Northwest,,,don't blame her. Hot August nights here can test you. Ironically I just stoked a party fire and enjoying coffee and smores(1) for bfeast in the fog.

Just installed a set of these Ebay's,,at 238K. Had a leaker out of the bag and had to use a slightly bigger bottom seal on the fuel inlet side on one injector. The molded plastic support ring for that bottom seal on the injector body was cracked and then shattered as I put 15ftlbs/180inlb on the rail. Pissin fuel everywhere when lit. The other 3 were fine and it ran great once sealed. Just a very aged or heat soaked injector molding on one. I could see distress in the plastic molding right out of the bag,,,but it was ok'd and shipped out,,so we went with a good feeling. So far it is staying sealed,,packing some Halon tho'.

My injector recommendation on this thread boomeranged me,,lol. Poor Jennifer,,,hope she is doing good and the old V6 is clunking along.

Tis the season. Put this here for no obvious reason. Had some snow in the hills so the young crew ran up to our St Helens/Toutle river valley last sun.
Next/this weekend for me. Taking my buddys tracked Argo back up in it for the predicted incoming,,after helping to replace axles and seized bearings in the thing. $200 per axle and bearing set,,for a quantity of 4. A slidehammer was involved. Previous owners laziness from letting the waterproof/pluggable tub fill with rain water and submerge the bearings. A chain driven, brake steer wonder. No heater in the thing,,but plenty of cast-off/radiated heat from the engine, trans and brake steer.

    Anyways,,enjoy!.
