I'm also selling my rear license plate mount spacers plates.

These spacer plate fit in between the top mounting holes in the plastic center cap and the steel bumper support, and after drilling out the self tapping mounting threads in the plastic bumper center cap with a 17/64" drill bit, 1/4" mounting bolts of your choice can now be passed through the bumper cap, spacer plates and steel bumper support and secured with flat washers and nuts on the back side.

This make for a much stronger and secure mount for the license plate by allowing the new 1/4" mounting bolts to a lockup solid against all three segments as opposed to the stock self tapping mounting screws only screwed into the 1/8" thick plastic bumper cap.

If your also running a license plate frame, you can also cut away the plastic on the bumper cap to make room for the two lower license plate screws so that you can secure the plate and frame together so you don't two empty holes, which also makes the entire rear mount more secures and complete looking.

The rear license plate mount spacer plates are $10 shipped only if ordered with the front license plate mount.

So the total shipped for both front and rear license plate mounts will be $57.50

    Cheers. Scott

Does this eliminate drilling in the bumper cap? How thick is the aluminum?

If you read my post on the rear license plate mount spacer plates it clearly states that you drill out the self tapped mounting holes in the bumper cap, and as far as the thickness of the plates, they are the proper thickness to fill the gap between the bumper cap and the steel bumper support.

My front license plate mount uses the stock mounting holes and mounting screws, and the material thickness is stated in the first post.

For all of you that have bought my front license plate mount as well as anyone else who might be interested in it, you now have two mounting heights to choose from depending on how you mount the license plate mounting bars to the main mounting bracket.

So attaching the license plate mounting bars with the long end facing down you have the low mount, and mounting the license plate mounting bars with the long end facing up give you a high mount.

Just drilling thru the two existing mounting holes in the plastic bumper cap which are only about 1/8" thick which is very easy with an electric hand drill and a 17/64" drill bit and takes less than 1 minute to do.

Here is a picture of the updated license plate mounting brackets with an additional 3rd mounting hole which gives you a total of 4 different mounting heights for the license plate. So you can attach the mounting brackets with the long end up for the high mount or down for the low mount. Then you can also fine tune the height up or down 1/2" by simply using the upper two mounting screw holes or lower two mounting screw holes.

This pictures show the mounting brackets in the low position, with the right bracket shown mounted in the low position (stock height) and the left bracket mounted in the high position.

Just installed mine today. Very clean! Perfect design. I like the way it doesn’t hang over onto the silver trim piece like the stock Toyota Shoebox. Thanks @MetrickMetal for the great product!
