Get the solid ones and cut the Windows you need before welding them in.

You can cut some in so you can service your rear bump hardware since those nuts would be concealed with it solid.

I believe @iJonny used windowed plates to help with rust prevention as well.

 

Even though PHX is such a dry place and rust is less likely i went with plates with drain holes. I just didnt want standing water inside the frame. These plates add so much strength to the frame in the rear its worth the cash regardless. Jeffs got a sweet product and anyone who bombs whoops or has a lot of weight plus a swingout should do this.

I didn't go through the whole thread so this might have been asked.. but is this portion of the frame the same on DCLB and the shorter DCSB/ACLB?

Cool. Looks like you're doing a shock relocate at the same time! That's kinda what I was thinking... I want to set my truck up with some longer shocks and 63" leafs, figured I could do the frame plating while I was in there. Currently sourcing parts and saving nickels for that project...

 

I now have a set that is designed to go around the factory rear cross member. Three pieces each side. removal of the factory rear crossmember no longer necessary.
