I did the same with the waterproof grease stuff. No leaks at all. Got the ECU flashed yesterday, got the exhaust setup today so no more raspy at throttle. Just a nice throaty sound when on the throttle and quiet at cruising speeds.

Anyway to remove ecu to get it reflashed or must you take the truck to the dealership. I live about 60 miles from the nearest toyota dealership and hate driving it that far without it flashed.

Just open up the bypass and you will be good to go. No need to worry.

Had my supercharger installed years ago and she has been running fine. But I have noticed a 2 wire connector that has nothing to connect to. I have never really worried as the truck has ran fine without it connected. ..but always wondered what it was for any ideas? I have looked it up before and have seen pictures (like from this thread) with it connected.

That was for (I am trying to think real hard I think it was a vac sensor or some, some) - same here and you are right it is nothing to worry about since it is not used on the SC setup. :)

Wanted to express my thanks to @SManZ for this thread and his guide. It was extremely helpful when I did my SC install a couple of weeks ago on my 2015. Made things go a lot smoother, especially with the great photographs. I had printed out his whole guide on a color laser printer at work and stepped through it along with the Toyota guide. Much thanks!

any reason for my brake pedal to have a lot of inconsistent feedback after s/c install? seems to feel rough when hitting the brakes for a second then all is well. just feels different than before the s/c install...truck is a 2015 trd o/r auto.

Did you ever get an answer for this?

I'm installing mine now and spent 3 hours trying to get the thermostat housing over the water pipe seal. I've attempted installing it over and over, even tried it just putting the extension on by itself. The actual extension will not go over the water pipe seal.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Tips or tricks?.... Using grease, and it's on 2k15 truck with ~500 miles. It feels like the seal is a size too big as it just pushes over the lip on the water pipe.

    Any help is appreciated!

That thing is really tight. I made the mistake of putting the extension onto the water pump first. Then having to juggle the whole thing on. It goes onto the water pump a heck of a lot easier.
One trick was in the instructions about keeping it straight. Any angle makes it harder. Then I just used my fingers to work that o-ring in. Lube is important. And the o-ring wants to poke out all over, especially the bottom where it's harder to detect.

Tried that, will try again today. I have another set of hands to help today as well, hopefully that will make a difference.

on step 18B where you mount the intercooler reservoir....can you mount that anywhere as long as the hoses will fit on the other end? That same spot is where you run an auxillary fuse panel mount and after wiring 4+ switches and devices...its not worth redoing all that wiring for those just to fit that resi...can I mount it anywhere else?

Wanted to say thanks to @SManZ for this write up. I've read it over many times before even buying a SC, trying to consider if I were to buy a SC, was I able to install it myself.

And without this write up I would not have. I finished installing Magnuson's SC on my Tacoma this weekend. And It's still applicable to This day. Appreciate the time and detail you took to write this!

the resi needs to be higher than the SC. Redo the wiring or catch can you have there, it's the best bet. I was able to make a half-ass mount for my RTMR fuse block that fits next to the resi.
