Oil leak need help diagnosing

    hey guys i noticed oil allover the rear of my gas tank and i think it coning from this but i dont know any knkw what it is. Thanksimage.jpg

    That's your charcoal canister. No oil. It captures evaporated fuel.

    So of its leaking anything it would be fuel? Because there was a bunch i if on the rear side of the gas tank

    Sometimes grease from the prop shaft spins onto the gas tank, but there's no concern over that gloss on the charcoal canister.

    I cleaned off what was there. It only got my attention becuse it was dripping on the ground

    Clean it off real good and just watch it. I don't know what kind of oil residue would be on there as fuel is not oily. It's also a sealed canister so any leakage would be from the fitting connections.

    Looks like you overfilled the gas tank and liquid fuel got in the canister. Do you fill it past the "click" of the pump? And yes that hose is an issue. Check engine light on?

    Ya i just recently filled it and i just went one time past the click and no the check engine light is not on. And ya im shure thats the fitting that broke

    So far, just a Hard Hat tonneau cover. Looking for mud guards and nerf boards.
    You said it was dripping oil? Get it checked.

    I'd just replace with a good used oem part. Though if you like new, it's not as bad as I though. I priced one out for a Nissan and it was like $400-500.

    Try JB weld first. I've sealed up an oil pan with it. Prep is key.
