I say go for it. Even if you wait on getting it color matched, silver isn't far off from white. The deciding factor is if you want the higher topper or not.

Edit: I mean seriously? Did Ford have some 1980's Taurus front ends laying around, and they said "hey let's put that on the Raptor".

I had an old set of courtesy lights left over from my old BMW. I flush mounted them in the kick panels and installed some Philips Vision LED bulbs.

I also installed my bed light kit. I have them wired to the dome light circuit so they fade the same way. I also added a pin switch to the tailgate so the bed lights turn on automatically.

What bed lights did you use, and where did you tap into the dome light circuit? My strip bed lights wont stay attached and want to try something different.

Thanks, I dig them too. I'm going to do the same thing in the rear when I get time to figure out where I want to mount them.

I used the OEM set. Part number 00016-34089. The instructions show you the exact wires to tap into:

I especially appreciated the cut out templates on the last couple of pages. I have a bit of OCD when it comes to mounting things evenly so having the templates made quick work of drilling the holes. The only thing that took time was that I had to go down to Harbor Freight real quick for some 7/64" drill bits since both of my drill bit sets were missing that size.

A word to the wise though... If anyone one installs these lights, its a good idea to stock up on zip ties before beginning the install. They really don't give you enough in the kit to secure the cables properly. I am always installing stuff in my vehicles so I already had a huge bag of them.

For the bed lights did you tap into the wires inside the cab like the instructions say or did you tap into them outside the cab?

I tapped into the black plug at the fuse box like it shows in the instructions. But I also added the tailgate pin switch which I ran to the driver kick panel. I used some diodes to isolate the dome light wire and the pin switch wire. So basically with the way I have the diodes installed:

(1)The interior light wire CAN activate the bed lights.
(2)The pin switch wire CAN activate the bed lights.
(3)The pin switch wire CAN NOT activate the interior lights.

The diodes probably were not necessary, but when I'm out doing something at the tailgate area, I don't want to run the interior lights. Just for battery conservation.

Pulled the grill so I could redo the LED wires (and swapped from white to yellow). Blacked out the radiator supports (super easy and damn nice).
Tried to derp the grill but after 7 coats the stuff still peeled off. Back to the drawing board.
