In the winter I usually buy a pass for the carwash and get a wash once a week maybe once every other week depending how bad the salting has been.
    Always get the underspray done.
Sometimes I'll go to one of those drive in self serve car washes and just spray under the vehicle.
and come spring I give it a major cleaning and waxing.

Unfortunately that's the problem today. Lots of people are buying brands like Honda and Toyota because they hear people getting 300-400k out of their vehicles. So they say wow I want to get that too. They just assume the vehicle will last that long and run well, but don't understand that they need to flush fuilds, and do maintenence. People now a days expect to just buy a new vehicle and to drive it. It's amazing and baffling at the same time. That's why manufactures are offering service plans with purchases. Unfortunately most don't cover the big maintenence items

Its like that with many vehicles though. Everyone says VW is terrible. I've owned 4 of them (mostly older ones) and they all were great as long as they were taken care of.

So many people want to buy vehicles but not pay to do anything to them for maintenance. Some don't even want to change oil.
Its pathetic to the level its getting though. The government here wants to make winter tires mandatory and some are complaining say thats bullshit are they going to buy me them. Umm no? Its a law for vehicles, cost of ownership. its mandatory to have insurance and licensing, does the government pay that for you too? No.

People want to beat their stuff with a bat then ask why it doesnt work. First world problems and mentality are starting to get ridiculous.

Not sure you can, think they only fix it if it fails.

There's a bad batch of CPS that are making their way into some trucks, the good part has a different stamp on it than the bad ones, there's pictures in the big CPS thread. Toyota isn't just going to change it for you, at least not until it fails.

    Back to ON-TOPIC =P.

I took out the 2Stroke LED kit I had and put the stock halogen bulbs back in. I disconnected the battery to do an ECU reset.

    1-Hour later...

Drove it to the gas station, no problem, drives fine...

I sent an email to TRS (The Retrofit Source) whom I think is a site sponsor. The kit is less than two months old. Must be a faulty ballast.

I even had spent hours mounting, wire looming, and securing all the wires, ballasts, and such because I assumed it was going to be there forever. My last kit (HID though) lasted me 5 years on my RSX-S and I didn't take as much time to secure it.

IMO, it's ridiculous that a shorted ballast can disable an entire car.

Thought everyone should know. I'm not taking it to the dealer until it (if) happens again. I'll say something at my 5000 mile.

I have Morimoto LEDs and HIDs. My fogs are the xB led, I never unplugged them. I did find a melted wire inside one of my led drivers tho.

I am no electrician... What does the ballast do on these lights? I thought ballast resistors were for higher voltage applications, or are they higher voltage than stock?

    Edit: Wattage, not voltage... oops.
