has anyone else noticed their their cluster lense scratches so easy.
I think mine was scratched from the minute I got the truck. Either came like that or the dealer detailed the truck and wiped it. I made the mistake on wiping the dust off it one day and I can't believe how easy it scratched.

Anyone ever price up a new lense?

Something to little bugs me so much

Leave it be. They all scratch easily in any vehicle. Usually you have to buy a complete cluster to replace. It's not cheap and will only scratch again

Ok. Makes sense. I just found it was scratched much easier. I've owned 30+ vehicles and never had this issue before.
Looks like someone took sandpaper to it .

I'll just leave it be I guess

This happened on my 2015 and although I can't offer a part number, I can help you with preventive measures. If you replace it just use a swiffer duster once a week and it won't scratch it, yet it removes almost all the dust. I've been using one for about a year now with great results. It also works great on the dash also and I just keep it in my center console.

I can say though I replaced just the lense and not the entire cluster so it may be possible to find it.

A paper towel is a lot like a piece of fine grit sand paper

Wipe it down with 303 Protectant on a lens cleaning cloth. That really helped mine. The scratches are barely noticeable now.

Thank you very much nazlax10 and everyone. Going to see how much the lense is and go from there. And yeah paper towel is rough.

Even a Kleenex will scratch is and it leaves a ton of dust on it.

I ended up using a Kleenex with a little bit of wd 40 on it. It hid all the scratches but is just a temporary fix.

Normally I would not bother with fixing it but it's the one part of the truck that you look at every day all the time.

I'm going to talk to my friend that works at invisible shield by zagg and get him to make me a cluster protector like you put on your cell phone haha.

    No fear for scratches then.

you could probably use some sort of buffing compound like Flintz polish, or a headlight cleaner to help buff out surface scratches.

I used flintz on my VW cluster and got rid of scratches.

I bought Ipad screen protectors and tried to cut my own. I'm not very good at cutting lol. If this happens, count me in!

lol well he works at one of their stores, they get the screen protector thing in a big sheet and just put it in a CNC cutter thing for said phone.
I'm just going to get him to give me a sheet and cut it to fit the cluster. Shouldn't be too hard put it on large and just trim with an exacto knife, or make a template with paper or something then cut it out.

I doubt Zagg is going to suddenly go into business of cluster protectors.
Although it would be a smart idea for them

I tried the paper method. Then again I went into it thinking it would be easy and rushed it. I know better now haha. Since I'm a big fan of zagg let me know how much it would be for a sheet please. I'd love to try it again.
