exhaust and horsepower

    right now im running a super 44 muffler, but im fixing to sell it to my jeeper friend and buy a flowmaster 40

    my question is would getting dual outlet reduse my hp rather than a single outlet? would it make a differance in sound? i have my exhaust dumped right after the rear axle

    also are there any other decently loud mufflers that wont cause a HP drop?

    Going with a Flowmaster will drop your HP either way...Number of exhaust outlets won't matter. Flowmaster is not made to be power/performance making....It makes sound.

    Sounds thing is subjective....Magnaflow and Dynomax mufflers have shown to hold constant or improve power a bit and I think they sounds just fine.
    You aren't going to get 6L V8 sound outta your engine- Just doesn't work like that. So you gotta take what you can get.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    X2. And stick with a single out pipe. By splitting the flow into 2 pipes, you are screwing up the scavenging of the engine, and this causes a power loss.

    looking at flea bay i see some that are 3 baffle and some that are essentially a tube with baffling, what would be the best?


    and would 3 baffle be quiet like stock or troaty?
