Seems pretty good. Invoice total for this is $33,891 (SouthEast Toyota region, which we're both in), so $314 over invoice (assuming no dealer fees) is a solid deal IMHO.

BTW, the all weather mats are $209 invoice, but $101 from Conicelli Toyota via Amazon. That's where I got my mats, drove home from the dealer and put them in the truck. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017YAIJYM

I bought my truck with no mats, added the AW from Amazon as linked above.

Have you run your numbers through what's published in the options/costs sticky thread? I'd use that info rather than Carmax, but also recognize you're in Gullstates territory I think, which doesn't necessarily fully match up to Toyota corporate.

I don't want to wait the 8-12 for build time. I already have the predator tubes that I found on Craigslist for 375. Tax where I am is 7.5%. Thanks For letting me know about the tonneau cover. I would be using the bed a lot thats the main reason for not wanting it

I just filled one out for my area. So far I have been qouted 36.8 to 37.5 for a tech package 4X4 TRD sport MT in white or silver and looking for the orange stitching. I dont think I cant get JBL with the MT so thats out. Anyhow the 36.8K is in Oregon where they have no state tax, the other one is located in NM and both are out the door prices. I am working with another dealer in OR right now who is having issues finding my truck but sounded like he would make a better deal than the dealer in merlin or which was basically msrp at 36.863, but came with mudflaps, and door sills.

Almost $3000 off. You got a very good deal! Congrats.

Do you mind telling us how you made it?

Also are the dealer fees in your OTD price?

You realize if you buy the truck in Oregon and register it in CA you'll still have to pay tax right?

His flair says military.. so he can just register it in Oregon if he wants. I registered two of my vehicles in Oregon to avoid paying sales tax when I live in Idaho. Always caught the dealers by suprise when all my addresses and IDs were for Idaho but I was still claiming Oregon.

Jyan, sure thing man. My wife and i were originally looking at a '13 Baja Taco, however the used car APR rates were crap. My wife suggested we just go look at the new Tacomas. This was the 29th of last month btw. As soon as we pulled in we found a 2017 TRD Off-Road for $36,504.00. Met our salesman and he said that they really wanted to get rid of this truck because it was the end of the month. After about an hour of negotiating he couldn't meet what we wanted to pay monthly...(sub $450.) They said the best monthly they could do is $505 per month with my $1000.00 military discount and another $1000.00 off the dealership was willing to take off. So we just told the salesman that we were going to dinner and to give us a call if you could get us to our monthly payment that we wanted.

The wife and i went to dinner and drinks, No phone call... The dealership closed at 9 pm, it was 8:30 when we got home from dinner.. 8:45 rolled around and i received a text from the sales man, saying he got us to our monthly price that we wanted if we put down $2500.00. Discussed it with the wife, got the blessing and sent him a text that we would be in the next day to finish paperwork and receive delivery. Sorry for the novel attached a couple of pics on the numbers we got. Hope this helps out, I feel like we got a good deal!

oh cool didn't know you could do that, makes sense though I know nonresident military also gets registration exemptions.

ok so your number above of $34k is really skewed then. you only got $2k off of msrp, which is still a good price.
    36504 msrp
    -2000 discounts
    -2500 down
    = 32004

    34000 OTD
    -32004
= 1996 in TTL and dealer fees

I think this thread would have worked out better if there was a specific format for reporting what you paid. counting a $2500 down payment means nothing to everyone else.

    MSRP
    DISCOUNTED PRICE
    DEALER FEES
    DOWNPAYMENT/TRADE CREDIT
    TTL
    OTD PRICE

there was nothing negative in my post, man. title of the thread is "how much are you paying for your 2017 tacoma". saying you got $34000 OTD sounds like you got a massive discount... you gotta account for a downpayment in that because it is technically money that was paid.

drwx, you're right, i should have been more specific when i said $34k OTD. Didn't mean make it sound like i got a better deal than i actually did. Personally i still think i got a good deal.

THAT is what counts. That's *all* that counts. Every deal is different, and we all live in different markets. If you're satisfied you got the deal you wanted, be happy with it.
