    Soo... After I got back from my last trip home(to see my parents) I noticed my truck making a strange whining sound that was changed by engine speed. The whine is coming from the engine bay, not the speakers. @mrbedgood helped narrow it down to the alternator, plugged in whines, unplugged no whine, as such

    Trying to think through my inverter installation.. The 'house' battery will be in a battery box, with accessory charging connections, in the bed of the truck (passengerside). I want to keep the 12v wires short, and don't mind running longer lengths for the 110v wires, keeping amperage in mind*.
    With that in mind I need a waterproof, dust proof location that has ventilation to keep the inverter cool...
