Im pretty sure the off road knob is pure leather and has less plastic. Waste of money imho....unless ur knob is made of 100 % plastic not worth the dough

Its not worth the money but I bet people piss more away on intangible things like Cafe Latte's and such.
I got it...paid about $107 IIRC (I posted about it somewhere here) and while I like it, eh.....

Could take it or leave it. If you have extra cash laying around or sold something on Clist for example and have the cash - go for it.
Otherwise, I think the stock one is so close to this - its a waste.

But it's your money either way. I would never pay some of the insane prices on aftermarket stuff for our Taco's but the guy right next to me wont even blink an eye :)

Well shit, the guy with shirtless guy working out as an avatar is laughing at the idea of personalizing your truck. I guess this means you shouldn't do it. :(

I bought one. It was spendy but I like it and I paid myself back with a little OT at Boeing.

How do you replace the knob. I have TRD Off-Road automatic and I can't figure out if you just pull the knob or this thing unscrews. Suggestions?

The boot pops off the bottom of the shift knob and you can slide it down, then unscrew.

I'm glad you put it that way. Replacing the shift knob on our Trd Offroad took me back to the days when I replaced the shift knob on our Jetta GTX, then the BMW 3 series...Momo was the choice!, so yeah it is all about the feel and memories...

It’s all subjective. I think the stock TRD knob is plain. The Pro is more stylish and actually fits my hand better. Hidden switches are just the cherry on top

Literally put mine in today. Got it for $80 flat from a dealer in Florida. I like it WAY better than stock. It's much beefier and actually feels like a truck shifter. Don't regret it.

I do like the feel of the Pro shift knob. But, my all-time favorite is the custom one I have in my '96 BMW Z3.

I paid around $86 three years ago for my TRD Pro shift knob. Two hundred dollars seems high. Even when adjusting for inflation.

always liked them, but more than $50 is more than I'd pay for a shift knob
