There doesn't seem to be much info on the BDS around here.

I had plans after looking for a long time to do the RCD kit. I don't do any crazy offroading, just beach driving, and easy/medium trails around Washington, Tahuya etc.

Looking around now I'm almost tempted to step up to the BDS 6" kit. I wasn't planning on going that high but the Fox coilovers have my interest. Are they much better than the extended length 5100's included with the RCD?

Also what brought me looking into this is are you still able to have replacement front bumpers (armor) with a DB kit? Kind of a dumb question but might as well ask.
On that note, I'm assuming a front bumper/winch would wear the stock springs down quick (with the RCD kit and 5100s), would the Fox 2.5 Coils handle it better from the BDS kit?

It seems to me the coils are woth the extra 1k, but I know everyone raves about the RCD quality (and I love the look), is the BDS up to par? I'm pretty sure the FOX Coilovers are.

FWIW, I've already ordered 17x9 rims on 285/70/17 Duratrac Wrangers.
Edit: I've answered one question, being that the BDS kit will NOT work with 17" wheels, so I would have to up them to 18".

Appreciate any input or links to info on comparisons of the two I may have missed.

    Edit:
The more I'm reading the more I'm leaning towards BDS with the Fox 2.5 Coils.
    BDS Coilover 6"
Dakar new rear springs with AAL.
If I'm gonna be in there might as well do new UCA's, so leaning towards just doing it and getting the Total Chaos.

And then I would change the wheels to 18x9 and tires to 295/65/18.

Did you end up going with the coilover kit? How did it go?
