Y'all are missing the point of this thread. It's not a recommendation of a lubricant, but rather locating the source of said squeak. Now that I have, I will apply some proper lube... :poking:

WD40 works good if ya spray it on yer trout bait.

But it's an illegal no no from what I know.
Prolly shouldn't pollute the waters just to catch a fish.

    That and Armor-All
I won't use neither on anything.

I used to keep a garden sprayer full of used motor oil, thinned with mineral spirits, to spray on the leafs of my '05......

My '09 and '13 never squeaked.

The '16 squeals like a pig but I haven't gotten around to doing anything about it yet.

The leaf spring pack design is a faulty design and has been admitted by Toyota Engineering Reps (FTS), they are working on a more permanent fix. Lubrication is only a temporary fix, per Toyota Regional Engineering Rep that I met with from Denver. He and I had a good discussion on the multitude of issues they're having. There is also a problem with the rear differentials that they're working on an approved field fix for but these types of solutions take time to hit street.

Been using boeshield for years now. It's works amazing on full sus mountain bike parts too. Their is a version for bike chains as well. Keeps my reels working smoothly, even the salt water ones that sat for years (moving away from coast). I use it on anything with small moving parts. None of the door hinges in the house squeak any longer (wife pet peeve) two drops per and any noise is gone in literally one sweep of a door. I love T9!

Isn't silicone spray the better option over wd40 for this application? It's like wd40, but safer on rubber/vinyl or where metal meets another material. Just don't breathe the vapors and make sure no open flames nearby, it's very flammable.
