I'm currently at 87k on my stock rear brakes. Pretty sure the shoes are worn / adjusted out. As the drum is stuck and not coming off easily .

Im only at 60k and not even close to being worn out. Bet your drum is justed rusted to axle flange. Also you may want to back off shoes a few clicks on the adjuster and use a bolt in drum to press it off of axle flange.

171k and still going. Bought the truck new so they've never been changed and always had them adjusted. I put new front brakes on about 10k miles ago.

I had 170k on my rear drums, they still looked 60-70%. On the back side opposite of the drum there's an access hole where you can stick a screw driver and back off the shoes if the drum is hanging up on them.
Another method is to screw in two 8mm X 1.25 bolts into the drum to pop it off the hub.

Even if your shoes aren't worn, it's always good to get in there to clean and lube everything up especially where the shoes contact the backing plate.

Though my Taco only has 39k, I've driven many other vehicles with rear drums well over 100k and have never done more than regular service/adjustments. Old tech, but last forever.
