I just bought a 2011 Tacoma Base with steel wheels. They are rusting and I found a set of compatible Tacoma alloy wheels that I bought through a classified ad, and took them to the dealer to swap out.

They called me and told me I needed different TPMS sensors as well as re-programming the computer to recognize them at a cost of $575.

I opted for basic valve stems for no extra cost, BUT the TPMS light will always be on they tell me.

Is there a way to disable this light, or can someone tell me the procedure of getting to that specific light bulb?

    I appreciate any assistance.
