am planning on getting a 2.5-3" lift on my truck and I'm having trouble deciding on the size, and brand of tires. I am planning on getting 16x8 wheels and choosing between 265/75r16 and 285/75r16 tires and KO2, Toyos ATII, or Duratracs. Also, throw some opinions out there on lift kits. Between Rough Country, maybe ToyTec (ALSO I AM TRYING TO NOT SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ~$1800 BETWEEN TIRES AND LIFT)

Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
to save your CVs, i would consider sticking to a more conservative lift and stay within 2 inches and then 265-75-16... 285-75-16 would be more comfortable closer to 3 inches of lift but then you need to consider regearing both front and rear diffs, and then dealing with CVs once you start taking it offroad...

if you are trying not to turn it into a money pit, stay mild on the lift and tire size...

    ^^ what he said.
Go with ICON extended travel 2.5 CO's for the front for the pre-set 2" of lift. Do some decent rears shocks w/o the AAL. I suggest All-Pro's shackle lift if you are keeping the OEM rear springs... if not, Deaver leafs or All-Pro's w/o the shackles.

    Good luck.
