When I drove to work yesterday morning, I was able to listen to music from my iPhone 6+ using the Bluetooth connection, through the Apple Music App, on my Entune Audio Plus head unit.
When I left work, the artist and song information would show up on the screen, and the progress bar would show that the music was playing (the thing that tracks the time of the song), but there wasn't any sound coming from my speakers.

I first turned the truck off, then back on, and the same thing happened.
I then turned off my iPhone and turned it back on, and the same thing happened.
This morning, I deleted my phone from the head unit, and re-paired it and had the same problem.
I then went in my iPhone and used "forget this device," deleted it from the head unit, turned off the truck, turned it back on and re-paired the phone, and it did the exact same thing! The artist and song information shows on the display, the song is playing, but there's no sound coming from the speakers.

I am able to make, and receive, calls using the Bluetooth connection, and the sound plays through the speakers.
I updated to iOS 10 over the weekend, so everything was fine for at least a few days.
I have an OEM Audio+ Reference 450Q system, but I've had it for several months with no problems.
I have an SR5 with the base Entune Audio Plus head unit.

Anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it, or any ideas for other things I can try?

REALLY dumb question... but is the volume on your iPhone all the way up?

When you go to Bluetooth settings on entune does it show that music is paired with iPhone?

It shows that everything is paired.
It had been working fine since I first got the truck over 6 months ago.

Over lunch, I'm going to try deleting the phone from Entune, and "forget this device" on my iPhone, and then turn the truck off for at least 15 minutes, turn my phone off, and then try re-pairing everything again.

Mine was the volume on iPhone or check that it isn't muted on the phone itself.

I have had this issue once before. I had to remove the pairing between the phone and head unit, and pair it again. That seemed to solve the issue.

Thanks for your help! I'm apparently an idiot! I had to turn the volume up on the phone, once I did that, everything was fine! D'oh! I'm going to call it a day and just go swing by the hammock district to pick up a hammock and then drown my stupidity with some Captain Morgan Black! Good luck with Project Arcturus Hank! And if Globex is hiring, let me know!

I get this about once a week. Being that it's bluetooth, the OEM audio setup has never entered my mind as a suspect. It literally has nothing to do with how the phone is communicating with the headunit and in my opinion is not the issue.

To remedy this, I usually just change the Audio Source on the headunit from Bluetooth > FM > Bluetooth and things start working.
Either that or I have to kill the Spotify app and restart it.
Only on one occassion, after allowing the latest headunit update to install, did I have to "Forget this device" and then repair everything to the truck.

I noticed that the Spotify app/no audio over bluetooth thing started after I updated to iOS 10.

    While we're on the topic...

Is the phone call audio pretty tin-can like for other folks? If normal I won't chase after it, but have deleted/repaired and it's still kinda crappy telephone audio compared to other vehicles.
