Hey everybody! I need help. Dropped my 2013 Tacoma DCLB off at the dealer for an oil change and a rear leaf spring squeak issue. Just got off the phone with the service manager and he said a spring dampener is seized and the only way to fix it is to replace the leaf spring pack at $963.00. They also recommend replacing both sides (naturally!!). So needless to say I'm not getting them replaced at the dealership. So what I need from you guys is an idea on what brand or company I could look at to replace the rear leaf springs. I really don't want to lift the truck but I do need to "stiffen up" the rear suspension (it feels like I bottom out if I hit a bump with about 400 lbs in the bed). Any advise would be greatly appreciated........

Dakar. Get Dakar leaf springs. Cheaper and far better.

Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
Whoa!....those damn stealerships just love sticking it to us customers (that is if we allow them to).

I just had both sets of leaf springs replaced at the dealership a couple weeks back but that was due to an actual "Recall" for my year Tacoma 2008.

Check to see if by chance your year Tacoma might have a recall notice also? See if you can get them replaced for free?

If not, well as you stated get the job done yourself but be prepared for spend some $ on the replacement parts from the dealer?
If not maybe you find them for a lot less $ some where else?

    Fuck the dealership!

    Good Luck!
