Hi everyone. I just upgraded my suspension on my 2007 V6 Access Cab TRD 4x4. I installed Bilstein 6112's up front with a 1/4" taco lean spacer. The rear got fresh recall leaf springs and I added a Wheelers 2" AAL and a pair of 5100 shocks. I was looking for around 2-2.25" of lift up front. I wanted to keep the rake close to factory since I frequently tow. After reading everything I could find on here about the 6112's I decided to set the c clip on the third setting. Bilstein literature said that should be 1.59" of lift and it seems the general consensus on here is that folks are getting 2" at that setting. I installed the struts earlier this week and they have me at 2.75" of lift. That seems excessive to me at that setting. I figured they might settle down but they are holding steady. I have been putting them through the paces as well. I am really happy with the feel of the suspension but I am mainly concerned about getting a good alignment without going to aftermarket UCA's. After installing the new front suspension I set the alignment cams back to where they were before the new parts. My local Toyota dealer did the leaf spring recall and told me that they would do a front alignment as part of the recall. It doesn't look like they touched the alignment cams at all so I'm assuming they skipped the new alignment all together. The truck does drive great though. It handles just like before the lift and nothing looks out of the ordinary alignment wise. I do want to get it checked though because my tires are brand new and I don't want them to wear badly. Anyone have the same experience with the 6112's? I expected my Access cab to get a little more lift on these springs compared to a double cab but an inch more then Bilstein says seems like something else might be up.

Before the lift my front hub center to fender measurements were 20" driver side and 20.25" passenger side. Now they are at 22.75" driver and 23" passenger side. The rear AAL's have me sitting right at 2.25" of lift.

I installed the 6112 a couple days back myself. Mine are at the 4th notch. I wanted around 2.25ish. I ended up with a 3 inch lift! But you know what I love it! My CV angle isn't as bad as I thought it would be. The front matches the full dakar pack in the back. I'm rolling with the stock UCA. The alignment shop could only get me around 1.4 caster at max. LR UCA is the next item I will eventually get. The truck still rides great without it! My old girl finally got a lift only took 6 years!

Good deal kenstar. Have you posted pics of your new setup yet? I like the look of the stance of my truck how it sits now but think a little more rake would still look good as well. Maybe .5" less front lift will get me in the territory for a decent alignment on the stock UCA's. I think I will drop the c-clips down to the second notch this weekend and see what kind of lift numbers I get. I'll try to get it into an alignment shop soon.

Please update this thread if and when your front settles....I am looking at this same setup for my DCSB and am still debating on the 3rd or 4th notch. I initially wanted a OME with 885's and I'm trying to get the same height with the 6112's as the OME would have given me.

When I installed mine on the 3rd setting, I rolled out of the garage with like 2.5" of lift. I took it about an hour to do its initial settling, then after about a week I was down to around the 2" range where I expected it to be.

Are you 4x4? I think I see your CV hiding behind the sway bar in your picture, but it's hard to tell.

Hard to see, but are your spring perches upside down? Got a close-up?

Interesting. I think I will give it a few more days to settle. I'd be pretty happy if it settled in at 2.25"-2.5". My truck is a 4x4.

I did loosen and retorque the LCA bolts with the suspension at full droop. I didn't think about that affecting the height. Thanks for the info.

So much beefier than the stockers....I can't wait to get mine but spring is a long time away.

I really like the cost of these vs other coilovers. The only neg I see is adjusting them, I'm afraid I'll get them on, the springs will settle, and I'll have to adjust them again.

I assumed they were like the 5100 style perches, my bad.

I figured you were thinking about the 5100 style spring perch. I almost replied that it would be harder to screw these up since the perches are a machined piece. I can see how it would be easy to accidentally flip the perches on the 5100's if you weren't very familiar with that style of strut. The perches on the 6112's are pretty self explanatory but I glanced through the install instructions before hand just in case.

Mine are on the 4th setting. Settled in about 2" over stock, but I am also running with some weight (sliders, recovery bar, baja rack).
They are great. Really liking them.

After looking at this thread, I've re-measured everything on mine, and it looks like mine have settled quite a bit.

#3 setting, immediately post-lift I was at ~2.5" of lift. It now seems to have settled to around the 1.5" of lift range. My front is dead level with the rear.

When I put the AAL on the rear, I'll likely end up bumping the front up to the #4 position.

I just wanted to drop back in an give an update. The front lift is still around 2.5-2.75" of lift and I'm going on my third week with the new suspension. I did get an alignment and everything seems to be doing good. I do not have my alignment specs. because the shop did not think to do a print out of the before and after. I am pretty happy with the feel of the suspension. The front seems just slightly stiffer then the stock setup that had 100,000 miles of wear. The new Bilsteins really soak up the bumps now. There were some pot holes around that would give my old suspension hell and now the front just rolls right through them and they are much less noticeable. The rear single Wheeler AAL's are doing good with the new recall leaf springs. They are definitely stiffer then the stock springs but I'm liking how they handle a load in the back and the tongue weight of my trailers. The leaf springs are setting at 2-2.25" of lift. I am occasionally getting the noise and vibration from the passenger side front differential bearing but it's really not very bad at all. I hope to install the ECGS bushing before long.
