Changed the front and rear diff oil, 60K mile maintenance.

Unfortunately It seems my front diff may be leaking. Either from the drain bolt, or gasket--can't tell yet. My factory mid-spash guard was molded (dented into) around the front diff clamshell housing.

I did the drain, replace, clean procedure and will keep an eye on it.

I'm hoping it's the drain bolt... However, bolt was tight when breaking loose to drain.

    Leaking, wet front diff.

    Cleaned everything.

I torqued the clamshell bolts and they were tight. Not much else I can think to do...

How'd this end up? My front diff (at 61K) looks similar, and I'm hoping it was just an "over a lot of time" thing that I missed with it being hidden behind my skids.

(and yeah, sorry for reviving a year old thread)

Could just be residual oil from the last drain. Both my diff's still look oily almost a month after I did my 30k service and it was all from the mess I made draining/filling.
