Looking to replace my sharkfin antenna with something like this. I don't need the sharkfin because I don't use the onboard GPS or satellite radio. But I DO want to route a few cables up there for HAM radio and lighting...

I'd contact him and see if he's interested in selling his antenna

I could see doing the bulkhead for roof mounted lights, beats drilling a hole and coating the wires in goop to prevent leaks. However for an amateur radio antenna popping an NMO hole in the roof makes way more sense. Using the proper hole saw(I have an Antenex 3/4" NMO hole saw) it's super easy and virtually impossible to screw up. For the record when I traded in my Honda Fit that I installed an NMO mount in, all I did was cap the mount with a Larson NMO cap. I pointed it out to the dealer and they didn't care and it wasn't a factor on trade in value. With the black NMO cap it's pretty much unnoticeable.

The only reason I haven't installed one in my Tacoma yet is there really isn't a great place to mount my FT2900R and I just haven't gotten around to buying a remote face plate radio.
