Cruisin the Coast Block Party

So on Wednesday I decided to evacuate from Hurricane Matthew. I have some relatives in Mississippi near the coast. Searched for a hotel closer to Biloxi but ended up in Pascagoula. Found out from my Aunt that Cruisin the Coast was going on so most hotels were booked for the week.

Billed as the largest block party in the country, it did not disappoint. The custom classic cars were a nice distraction from watching the weather channel.

You know, I did a double take looking at that wrecker. Seen it cruising around up this way earlier this year.

 

Those pictures are all right up the street from me! Last year I think there were close to 8,000 registered cars and I would imagine they beat 8,000 this year.

I went to Ocean Springs for the day and really enjoyed myself. This was the 20th year I believe. Had B B's Poboys for lunch too.

Found it in a parking lot of a restaurant when we were heading back to the hotel. My wife wanted to climb in and take a joyride. Cars were everywhere
