From my experience the automatic transmission has trouble in the cold. I know this does not show up in everyone's new truck, but there has been a significant amount with shift flaring issues. The valve bodies are hit and miss on these transmissions. Mine is getting replaced with less than 2k miles on it.

Do you need to know, or care?
Honestly? Are you asking us to pick what you want? Send me a check for 50K and I'll deliver what I think you need, no questions asked, no regrets.

Get what you want, not what we think you want. Want more room, Tundra, want mid-size and a little more cramped, Tacoma. Ultimately it's your choice.

Oh boy, another one of these threads.

OP, do your own research. Go to a dealer, drive both vehicles, make a decision that's fits your needs the best. Nothing we say is going to make the decision for you. This thread will just turn into a shit show and get locked or deleted. Theres a minimum of 2 of these threads per week.

If MPG and parking aren't issues for you, I would say go tundra.

Are you in the right thread? Unless that's your way of convincing OP. Anyway, I will cry if you line-x the cement Tacoma. Really. It's a brand new limited edition color. Come line x my POS 2007 SR5 PreRunner.

Thanks for all the helpful responses. We are keeping the 4 runner and replacing my wife's car.

Flip a coin. Heads, Tacoma, tails, Tundra. Just do it and let me know what it lands on. Before replying
