    Not only does this thing scratch if you breath wrong on it, but mine is letting dust in around the dimmer rod/odometer reset rod.

    I can see trails of brown dirt that have gotten blown in around the hole the rod sticks through.

    Nice.

    Still love the truck, but COME ON! How about something scratch resistant and a small seal around that damn rod??

    Any experience with taking this off for polish (and I can get the dirt out)? I'll live with it if it turns out to be a nightmare to accomplish. I'll bet I can put a small O-ring around the rod and push it against the plastic to keep more dirt out.

    I'm assuming you did what I was thinking with the o-ring and used that foam ring? Size/source?

    Source was my garage and size I'd have to get back to you on since I don't have my truck. I found that image just by simply searching for foam o-ring
