Thought so! Trees and dirt looked really familiar. I guess the snow drive is up towards Bachelor? Love it up that way! We go up 2-3 times a year to Sunriver/Bend from the Bay Area.

Stampede Pass, WA. Cut from the I-90 in Snoqualmie Pass south to the 410. Made the trip with some guys and gals from Northwest Overland.

How was it? Mainly dirt forest service roads or are there any real trails out there? I was thinking about doing that exact same loop but just by myself.

Easy. I was in 2wd most of the time. Only switched to 4hi to excersize the system. It's also realy easy to get lost. Bring a really good map and maybe a navigator!

Yeah, I figured a stock subaru could do it. I'll need a trail map or follow a friend who has one. Is it pretty scenic/worth the drive?

Definitely worth it to me. We all stopped for lunch at the top. I think we almost made it to 6k elevation.... A stock Subie could do it, but I would take it easy. Some bumps might get a little gnarly for it. I am currently reviewing my dashcam (GoPro) footage to see if there are any iffy spots that may hinder you. What kind of subie is it?

**Edit: Found some video of the part I was thinking of. Currently uploading it to google drive. I will post a link when it is finished. **

    **Edit #2: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6QKXYiKXtMpZ1NidkkyVmx5emc
At about 4:10 in "Clip7" is when the rough part starts and continues through most of "Clip8". Be advised, these are LARGE .mp4 files. Also, it's not in these clips, but some of the lower elevation roads had really sizable potholes. **

Great pictures. I have spent a lot of time in that area. Great place to go and get out.

No pictures of the truck, just thought I'd share the view from my Sunday drive. Just on an old logging road trail, a civic could probably make it to the same spot.

Did a quick run to Arrowrock Dam, half an hour north of Boise with the family this evening.
