Buying some new 35x12.5x15 for the 99' standard cab Tacoma. I've narrowed it down to these 3.

Trucks sees 70% pavement/gravel roads with 30% being either sand, snow, mud and rocks in the mountains.

Just trying to get a better idea of how these perform on our lighter trucks as far as airing down, cleaning out, and longevity.

Don't know about the coopers but from personal experience and most of the reviews I've found KM2's are the better tire of the two both on and off road.

I have KM2s (31x10.50x15 though) and they do really well in the rocks but do chunk fairly easily. I usually air down to 8-10 psi and haven't popped a bead yet.

I have no complaints about the on road performance so far but I have only had them since May so can't comment on how they do in the snow. My biggest complaint is that they are really loud on the road. I have had STTs and Dunlop Mud Rovers previously and neither was as loud as the KM2s are.

Thanks guys. It seems these 3 are the ones most everyone is running so a guy probably can't go wrong any of them. I'm still torn between them. I like the kevlar sidewalls, that's where I seem to get flats...wish they made kevlar sidewalls on the KM2s and Coopers. Still wouldn't help much with decision making...Come on guys I know there's more then 2 of you out there who have or wheels with guys that have these tires.

I have run all three of the tires you asked about, in a 35x12.50. The km2s are the best of the three options listed, but they were kinda loud on the highway for my liking. The cooper stt were stiff and didnt like airing down, lost a bead on one at 24 psi on an off camber uphill run. Goodyears were definitely the worst of the three, wore down quickly, poor puncture resistance ( had at least two plugs per tire when I took them off), but they seemed lighter and helped acceleration. Currently running Toyo A/Ts and extremely satisfied on and offroad. Just my 2 cents. Whatever you do, buy the road hazard warranty if the tire dealer offers it. It has paid for itself every time!

Billies and Eibachs, Camburg BJ UCAs, Demello hybrid sliders SOS HC rear bumper, SOS front bumper, Warn M80000, fully armored, Safari snorkel, No-slip locker, diff breather, bumper and roof mounted light bars, onboard Viair, 275/70 17 BFG ATs, and a badass sound system.
I'm running the km2 now and I love them. I previously had the kevlars and the biggest downside was that when aired down and wheeling the rubber peeled off the sidewall of two tires, exposing the white kevlar underneath. It looked awful.

The MTRs don't seem to last as long as the KM2s despite having comparable, arguably worse, off-road performance.
