while working on the rear suspension upgrade (shocks and leaf springs), I noticed my load sensing spring boot is torn on the shackle side. I don't know if I tore it while mucking with the axle down, or if it was torn already because it wasnt moved up higher with the previous lift kit. Is it dangerous to drive with it torn? What purpose does the boot serve? Can I just install a bracket to move it up higher and move on, or is this a do not drive situation?

Can`t say mine is no long gone

How is the braking action ??

Like most rubber boots it helps keep road dirt out

Knowing Toyota I wonder if you can buy a boot or it only comes with the LSPV
