Is there an alternative for the rod that is used to unscrew the spare tire? The small pins that hold the various segments together are not the most secure or easiest to use.

I should get one of these since I screwed up and ordered a regular rear bumper from Pelfreybilt instead of one with a tire gate. (damn short garage).

Yes the tool used to lower the spare tire. Are there any affordable alternatives?

I took an old socket and welded a piece of round stock across it and then I can use a few long extensions and a 1/2" drive to lower it down.

Yes you do Juan, I've used an impact with 1/4 inch drive and it works perfect and super fast.
